I Like To Be Catholic - The Music Video

Here is our unofficial theme song.

Earlier this year I gave a speech to a group of parishioners at Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Faribault, Minnesota. At the end of my talk the organizer of the event, Justin Stroh, grabbed his guitar and led the group in a rousing rendition of a song that he wrote, called I Like To Be Catholic. My memory may be failing me, but I was certain that he changed the words to be I ‘love’ to be Catholic. Of course, my brain is probably wired to hear it as Love To Be Catholic. I was so surprised and pleased by the song. It immediately became the unofficial theme song of LoveToBeCatholic.com. After much begging and pleading, Justin’s friend Brad posted a music video of the song on LoveToBeCatholic.com. I am grateful for the opportunity to have met Brad and Justin and thankful that they took the time to produce and post this video. Moreover I am so pleased that people like Justin and Brad are using our platform to share their good works with both their fellow parishioners and across the globe as well.  It is a validation of what we are trying to do.

Awesome Catholic Alternative Rock by Soul To The Road

Some people like church organ music, others Chant.  How about Catholic Alternative Rock! A new and very talented musician who goes by Soul To The Road has posted some really terrific music videos on LoveToBeCatholic.com.  He is awesome.  Kinda has a great Eddie Vedder type sound.  The music and lyrics are inspiring.  I am always excited to see people use their talents for the faith, especially when reaching out to the youth.  If you like traditional music, then STTR may not be your thing.  Yet, a good deal of our youth love to alternative rock. In fact, most of my mid-forties friends do as well.

Today LoveToBeCatholic.com is featuring Bill Goyette.  I do not know much about Bill other than he is one of the first people to join LoveToBeCatholic and has uploaded many terrific music videos. His songs are all original.  Drown In Your Grace is one of my favorite.

Friday Featured Artist - Donna Lee

It's Friday and time to showcase another talented Catholic performer. Today's artist is Donna Lee.

Donna is a three time Unity Award winner.  Her music focuses on Pro-Life, Reconciliation, the Eucharist and Divine Mercy. She also has a special devotion to the Blessed Mother, whom she says played a big part in her conversion back to the Catholic Church.

Donna is one of the founding members of the Catholic Association of Musicians.  Her music can be heard on several Catholic Radio stations across the United States, Canada, Europe, and South America. She is a regular on the FamilylandTV Network and has taped two segments on "Backstage" for EWTN.

The Singing Seminarian Does It Again!

Exciting news. Today is the LoveToBeCatholic.com premiere of Robert Galea's new video "At the Foot of the Cross", The song is from his album 'What A Day'.  Robert's previous video 'What Do You Say' is one of the most popular on LoveToBeCatholic. 

Robert is an amazingly talented singer/songwriter. Furthermore, he is a Catholic seminarian!  Here is what his web site, Thatsworship.com has to say:

"Robert Galea is currently studying for the priesthood in Melbourne, Australia after beginning seminary formation in Malta in 2003, his home country. Robert has been dubbed the “The Singing Seminarian” by local and international press. He is a singer and songwriter with a comparable international fan base.
